Tanaman Obat penyakit Demam Kuning (Yellow Fever) pada anak
Menurut buku Tanaman Obat untuk Penyakit Anak, oleh Prof Hembing Wijayakusuma, disebutkan, demam kuning menyebabkan infeksi yang serius pada organ hati. Masa inkubasinya 3-6 hari, Gejala yang dirasakan penderita antara lain; muntah, sakit kepala, pegal pada sekujur tubuh, demam tinggi, lelah, nyeri pada mata, pendarahan pada gusi, kulit yang menguning dan sebagainya.
Ramuan tradisional untuk mengobatinya :
- 20 gr daun serut ditambah 5-10 gr Kunyit, tambah 5-10 gr temulawak, 25 gr akar alang-alang, 5 gr biji kacapiring direbus dengan 400 cc air hingga tersisa 200 cc. Airnya diminumkan kepada anak saat hangat-hangat kuku.
Atau ramuan lainya:
- 15 gr daun sendok, ditambah 6gr kulit jeruk mandarin, 6 butir angco, 10 gr Kunyit, 25 gr daun serut, dan 20 gr akar alang-alang direbus dengan 500 cc air hingga tersisa 200 cc, Air nya diminum jika sudah hangat-hangat kuku.
Ramuan hasil rebusan dapat diminum saat pagi sesudah makan dan malam hari sebelum tidur. Dan dianjurkan untuk tetap berkonsultasi ke dokter......

Khasiat
Bunga krisan berkhasiat sebagai obat sakit bengkak pada mata dan untuk obat luka. Untuk obat bengkak mata dipakai + 10 gram bunga krisan, dicuci dan direbus dengan 3 gelas air sampai mendidih lalu dinginkan sampai hangat-hangat kuku. Air hasil rebusan digunakan untuk merendam atau mengkompres mata yang sakit.

Ketepeng Cina (Cassia alata, Linn.)
Penyakit yang dapat diobati dengan daun Ketepeng Cina antara lain; Panu, Kurap, Kudis, Sembelit, Cacingan, Sariawan;SIFAT KIMIAWI DAN EFEK FARMAKOLOGIS: Pedas, hangat, insecticidal, menghilangkan gatal-gatal, pencahar, obat cacing, obat kelainan kulit yang disebabkan oleh parasit kulit.
KANDUNGAN KIMIA: Rein aloe-emodina, rein aloe-emodina-diantron, rein, aloe emodina, asam krisofanat, (dihidroksimetilanthraquinone), tannin.
Ramuan:
1. Panu, kurap
Bahan: 1 genggam daun ketepeng cina segar, sedikit tawas (atau 1
sendok makan kapur sirih)
Cara membuat: semua bahan direbus, dilumatkan sampai menjadi
bubur
Cara menggunakan: digosokkan kuat-kuat pada kulit yang sakit, 2 x
per hari
2. Sembelit (susah buang air besar)
Bahan: 7 lembar daun muda ketepeng cina segar,
Cara membuat: Bahan direbus dengan 2 gelas air hingga mendidih
sampai menjadi 1 gelas
Cara menggunakan: diminum sekaligus
3. Sariawan
Bahan: 4 lembar daun ketepeng cina segar, garam secukupnya.
Cara menggunakan: dicuci bersih, dikunyah dengan garam
secukupnya (seperti mengunyah sirih) selama beberapa menit,
kemudian airnya ditelan dan ampasnya dibuang.
4. Cacing Keremi pada anak-anak
Bahan: 7 lembar daun ketepeng cina segar, asam secukupnya untuk
menghilangkan bau, 2 sendok teh bubuk akar kelembak.
Cara membuat : Semua bahan direbus dengan 2 gelas air hingga
mendidih sampai menjadi 1 gelas, disaring.
Cara menggunakan: Sesudah hangat diminum

Nutrients Found in Strawberries
In Asian countries, people call strawberry "The Queen of Fruits" because it's packed with so many health goodness - nutrients essential to our good health. Bright red, juicy and sweet, you can eat strawberries as healthy snacks all day long.

How did Strawberry Get Its Name?
It was believed that the word "strawberry" did not exist until 1538. During the harvest time, children would pick the fruits and string them on straws of grass to be sold, thus the fruit was named "strawberry".
In the olden days, strawberries originated from the wilderness of Europe and America. Wild strawberries are not big and you only get to eat the fruits once a year (end of June or during summer). If you want your strawberries to stay fresh and last longer, do not wash them until you want to use them. Place them in a container, preferably in layers with paper towels in between the layers, and a dry paper towel at the bottom.
When you're ready to use them, wash them with the caps attached, under cool running water. Removing the caps cause the strawberries to absorb too much water and become soggy. After washing, you can pluck away the caps with your fingers or with a paring knife.
